Gmail: no invite needed anymore!

don't know if I belong to the ones who noticed that a bit late, but yesterday I saw that anyone can now, without the need of an invite, open a Gmail account. Sounds like Windows Live Mail is coming guys!
update: the exact date when Gmail was open to public in the States, Europe and Japan was February the eighth. They started in Australia a few months before this.
