thunderbird + gmail

my favorite email client solution. I'm not saying that it's the best one, but well, it actually could be the best one. Get yourself a gmail account, allow it to send mails (to you) through a secure pop/ssl protocol, install Mozilla Thunderbird. Don't forget to set pop to port 995 and smtp to 465, check the ssl box, you're done. For still more security I would advise an SSL certificate, that's it. Not much to add.
