HTML editing

don't know if my own blog is the right place to post for that, but anyway I'm kinda new to HTML stuff, and when it comes to just importing a template it just does not work (lol). I went there:

and as soon as I paste any template into what I suppose is the appropriate place for it I just get an error message telling me that the code is not conform, xml error etc...anybody help!

update: I just read some comments on the page with the link above and it seems that other users have the same issue. I believe these templates are not ready for use, but should be edited first, which means learning HTML language, which also means the templates are for people who already know this bloody language. I admit it, I must learn it now; it sounds like otherwise I'm gonna get a very limited approach of what a blog can be.
